I got a bit eager & cut the footboard in half before I took the photo.
My husband built a frame for the seat area & we just screwed 1 x4s to it. Attached the footboard to the sides with screws & painted with leftover paint I had in my basement.
I think it turned out so cute. It adds a nice pop of color to my backyard :)

That looks fantastic. I rescued a crib from the garbage and have in mind to do a similar type of project with it. I'm really inspired now.
