Headboard Garden Bench

We have been wanting to put a fence up across our backyard for a couple years now & we are finally getting around to getting it done. I am so excited about this project (mostly because I have another "wall" to decorate now) YAY :)  I found an old headboard & footboard at the dump & thought it would make the perfect garden bench. I did have to have my husband's help on this since I am afraid of table saws ;)

I got a bit eager & cut the footboard in half before I took the photo.
My husband built a frame for the seat area & we just screwed 1 x4s to it. Attached the footboard to the sides with screws & painted with leftover paint I had in my basement.
I think it turned out so cute. It adds a nice pop of color to my backyard :)

    That looks fantastic. I rescued a crib from the garbage and have in mind to do a similar type of project with it. I'm really inspired now.
